This "table of contents" service allows you to keep up-to-date on the scholarly publications that matter to you. Create a personal account, and then sign up to receive routine updates from your selected titles.

Biological Abstracts (Web of Science) This link opens in a new window
Indexes scholarly journal articles in biology and all other life sciences.

Google Scholar
Online search engine that indexes articles, theses, books, abstracts, conference proceedings and court opinions; from academic publishers, professional societies, online repositories, universities and other web sites. Although this is a large index, once you have located a citation, you may have to access the complete article using library databases.

PubMed This link opens in a new window
Indexes scholarly articles in biomedicine, health, dentistry, nursing, and other life sciences. Includes MEDLINE plus additional citations, some full-text. Coverage: 1966 – present.

BioOne This link opens in a new window
A full-text collection of over 80 peer-reviewed scholarly journals in biology, ecology, and environmental sciences. Covers the most recent two to five years. Most titles are also available for archived issues in JSTOR.
Science Direct College Edition This link opens in a new window
Provides citations, abstracts and full text (1995-present) for over 1100 journals in the Health & Life Sciences Collection. Provides citations and abstracts for all other Elsevier Science Direct journals.

To find if the library has direct access to an article, search for the article's title in the the library catalog.

If the article is not directly available in print or electronically, you may request it via interlibrary loan.

When only a citation is listed in the library catalog, you'll see a button to "Request Item through Interlibrary Loan."

If no citation is available in the catalog, you may enter your request directly through Preus Library's interlibrary loan service.
