Keep Track of Your Sources

Style guides help you format your writing and cite your sources. English usually uses the MLA style guide. You can find style guides at Preus Library, along with helpful tools like the Little Seagull Handbook.

Citation Management

If you have a lot of sources, it's a good idea to find a system to help you keep track of them.

This could be as simple as Word or Google document in which you keep track of each quote you're planning to use, along with where that quote came from and how you accessed it.

You can also use citation generators, such as EasyBib, or citation managers, like Zotero.
