Biographies are the life stories of individuals from the past. 

Biographies can be as short as a paragraph or as long as a multi-volume series of books. Some will cover the entire life of their subject, while others will focus on a single part of their life. Biographers will use different sources to write biographies, such as diaries, letters, or interviews.

You can the Preus Library catalog, WorldCat, to search for biographies. Some will be available as print books, others as e-books, and some as both.
